The Q36.5 Grid Skin cycling shorts have been developed using innovative technology that protects the cyclist's skin in the event of a fall. The new GRDXKN® 4D printing technology allows you to print a protective structure directly on the fabric, enriching it with new properties. In fact, the GRDXKN® matrix has been successfully tested in fall simulations up to 100 km/h. The thin fabric is reinforced and padded, without losing flexibility and breathability. This integrated system promotes ventilation of the printed areas, offering maximum comfort with a significantly higher level of protection and safety. Garments featuring GRDXKN® technology can be washed normally. The Grid Skin short is another example of our constant focus on an eco-sustainable approach, as it is made with 100% recycled materials. In fact, the UF Knit44 ECO fabric is made with completely recycled materials, all 100%. Most recycled fabrics only use a recycled polyamide yarn and a virgin elastane yarn. In our case both yarns are 100% recycled. These shorts also feature a pre-shaped cut for a more ergonomic fit, better performance and comfort. Thanks to our studies on body mapping and particular attention to reducing the number of seams, we have managed to position the panels, which make up the garment, in such a way as to support the muscles during pedaling. To improve the fit and feel, we have introduced a laser cut finish in the waist area, further reducing the number of seams in this very sensitive area of the body. The raw cut of the leg increases the level of comfort thanks to the intelligent finish that avoids the use of silicone, whilst ensuring that the trousers remain in place. The lumbar support panel, made of high-density stretch fabric and enriched with silver thread, actively improves stability and body alignment during pedaling. The braces have been made lightweight and breathable, while still offering exceptional support. The panel positioned in the area above the saddle is characterized by a proprietary and innovative cut that eliminates the central seam which usually causes pressure and discomfort when sitting in the saddle. The cut replicates the contact surface of the saddle and is made with an elastic fabric that naturally adapts to different types of saddles. To increase comfort in the pelvic area, an anti-stress cut allows for greater freedom of movement and the absence of pressure points. The pad is characterized by a new three-dimensional Super Molded-Anatomic construction that follows the anatomy of the human body and offers optimal comfort during pedaling. The foam padding has been calibrated according to a scheme of variable densities and thicknesses in the perineal, ischial, genital and buttock areas, resulting in an extremely sophisticated regulation of comfort. The pad uses a unique molding technique that produces soft variations in the thickness of the padding, significantly improving contact with the cyclist's skin while avoiding the risk of abrasions due to rubbing.
